　　Job Description

　　Are you looking to advance your Microbiology career within a Global Manufacturing organisation? If so, we have an exciting opportunity within our Quality Team based at our Haverhill site.

　　As the QC Microbiologist you will ensure the testing of Raw Materials and Finished products are carried out on all provided samples to the required micro specification and entering the results into SAP. In addition to the day to day testing of samples you will perform GMP micro swabbing of key defined production areas and record results in a database. This work is carried out in an ISO17025 accredited laboratory.

　　Duties are likely to include:

　　Coordination of Micro Activities (raw material and finished product testing) to ensure testing meets department agreed KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).

　　Ensuring that laboratory results are consistent and meet customer requirements (i.e. no related justified customer complaints)

　　Ensuring that proficiency testing meets requirements (Z-score).

　　Ensuring that adequate and updated working methods are in place.

　　QM master data integrity – ensure the QM master data is maintained, so that materials are tested against the current IFF specification and that CofA’s (Certificate of Analysis) etc are not blocked.

　　Be involved in the Food Safety Programme via HACCP etc.

　　Required Experience:

　　GCSE (A-C) or equivalent

　　Experience within the food (or related) industry.

　　Knowledge and experience in Microbiology.

　　Preferred:

　　HNC, HND, or Degree in Microbiology.

　　Experience with SAP software.
