Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking a highly skilled Certification Manager (Level K) to work on the UK E-7 Systems Engineering and Certification team in Oklahoma City, OK.
The E-7 Wedgetail is the most capable and effective airborne early warning and control platform in operation today and has the growth path to match the expected threat over the next 20 years. This role supports the United Kingdom E-7A Wedgetail development programs at all phases of their modification lifecycle to ensure on time delivery of artifacts and technical rigor for the product.
Position Responsibilities:
Engineering leader for Systems Engineering certification processes and products on the program - primary advisor to program Chief Engineer.
Leadership through the Certification and Airworthiness process including Part 25 compliance including technical airworthiness planning and verification support including development and negotiation of airworthiness plans, basis of certifications, means of compliance, and certification activities for complex total systems.
Engineering Leadership of Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP) as applied to the program.
Establishes a culture of proactive technical guidance, risk management and rapid issue resolution, providing alternative paths for issue resolution and an open dialogue on technical issues.
Implements and enforces engineering functional excellence in people, processes, tools, and practices; drive productivity improvements through the use of the lean principle disciplines; and share best practices and lessons learned.
The ability to lead a team to achieve all execution goals and the ability to continue to grow and train team in the certification process.
Cost Account Manager (CAM) for SEIT.
Potential travel up to 25% including internationally.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering.
5+ years’ engineering experience.
1+ years' experience leading engineering teams/projects as a manager or technical lead.
1+ years in Certification and Airworthiness Compliance Process.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in engineering of large-scale systems and airworthiness certification.
Experience working with AEW&C aircraft, AWACS aircraft, or command and control aircraft platform including avionics systems, mission computing hardware, and surveillance systems.
Experience in military aircraft modification programs and design reviews (Systems Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Modification Readiness Review).
Experience with FAA STC projects or EASA projects and coordinating and develop Certification Plans.
Experience working with international customers.
Ability to adjust team priorities to multiple demands and unanticipated events.
Ability to hire and aggressively grow the team to meet the needs and skills of the Systems Engineering Team.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing for project plans, execution schedules and recovery plans to senior leadership.
Motivated to deliver to an aggressive schedule and must work well in a team environment to collaborate with individuals and other product teams and leaders.
Systems Engineering INCOSE Certification.

Summary pay range: $128,350 - $173,650
