  Boeing is seeking Aviation Maintenance Technician and Inspectors to join our teams supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Seattle, Renton and Everett, WA. In this role you will perform production installations, maintenance, preventative maintenance, alterations and quality assurance on aircraft structure, systems and sub-systems, including electrical and avionics on standard or experimental certificated aircraft.

  Position Responsibilities:

  Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, service aircraft and engine systems to prepare aircraft for flight.

  Perform Quality functions such as Customer/FAA Coordination, Configuration Change Verification, Conformity Inspections, Airworthiness Inspections (including Pre-flight and Post-flights), Corrective Action and Investigations.

  Initiate and document any nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, assemblies, or portions thereof, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.

  Perform Aviation Maintenance Technician Inspector tasks in order to obtain and maintain knowledge, skills and required certifications.

  Perform audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes, according to specifications, processes, and procedures.

  Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  2 or more years of aircraft maintenance experience on complex jet powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background.

  This position requires an individual when working at heights to utilize fall protection equipment that has weight limitations.

  Must be able to work any shift, overtime and holidays as required.

  Preferred Qualifications

  FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate preferred. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified.

  Prefer a minimum of five years of aircraft maintenance experience on complex jet powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background.

  Relocation:

  This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

  Safety Sensitive

  This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) random drug and alcohol testing. If you are being hired or transferring into a position where you will perform a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) safety-sensitive function, you are first required to undergo Pre-Employment drug testing for the presence of marijuana, cocaine, opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), and amphetamines, or a metabolite.

  Union Representation

  This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement.

  Current Boeing employees working in Puget Sound and Portland must submit an Employee Request Transfer (ERT) to be considered in the eligible candidate pool. Resumes of current Puget Sound Boeing employees submitted via Careers at Boeing will not be considered.

  Shift:

  This position is for 2nd shift

  This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

  The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  Pay Range: $33.10-$39.10 per hour
