About you and this role
We are looking for a Turnaround Digital Technology Expert/ Technology Manager !
This role will be aligned to Dow’s European Turnaround Organization with a functional alignment to Dow’s global Turnaround (TA) Expertise Center.
Turnarounds are periodic Maintenance and inspection outages of large production plants with a condensed maintenance work schedule and high contract labor volumes.
The primary responsibility of the Turnaround Digital Technology Manager is implementation of the Work Process, Operating Discipline, and Hardware surrounding Digital Turnaround Tools in EMEAI. It contributes to Dow’s long-term vision and strategy to achieve next level turnaround digital performance that reduces costs, duration, and safety events.
This is a Field focused role with the expectation to be supporting all digital efforts including change management, hardware installation, troubleshooting and interpretation of data relevant to field activities at various Dow sites across Europe.
As currently expertise on Digital Turnaround Tools is not broadly available, candidates with a good understanding of Turnaround execution are encouraged to apply and build the required Digital expertise on the job.
Responsibilities
Supports the major local Turnaround teams in the region in setting up the most effective digital Turnaround tools strategy for their Turnaround based on the global Turnaround Expertise Center guidance.
Coaches and mentors Turnaround Managers, Scheduler, Planners, and Turnaround Coordinators to use the Turnaround work process and achieve productivity improvements.
Works with the global Turnaround Expertise Center to perform advanced data mining & analytics on all turnaround productivity data, identifies opportunities to further improve waste elimination and improve how work is performed.
Collaborates with other support groups in Dow in supporting each TA as a unified team.
May act as a working team lead, providing guidance and coordinating work of others when identifying, preparing, installing, and operating digital Turnaround tools.
Applies Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power platform (Power BI, SharePoint, PowerApps) to visualize and analyze turnaround productivity data following TA Expertise Center guidance.
Serves as the focal point for all turnaround IT issues, questions, training needs, etc.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant turnaround, maintenance and/or project experience in the (Petro)chemical industry.
Demonstrated capability to execute projects or turnarounds (coordinator, manager, field activity experience or similar execution roles).
Proficiency in the English language.
Proven ability to communicate at all levels of organizations.
