　　Position Summary:

　　Provides logistic leadership and support to all areas of the logistic processes. Provides direction to team members for daily logistic requirements and support for line needs. Assist the department supervisor in the training and leading of employees. Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and output standards.Position Responsibilities:

　　Actively works towards ensuring a safe environment. Initiate and follow ZF accident protocol or accidents, incidents or near misses.

　　Leads, directs and oversees the daily operations within the department and meet or exceed all targets and requirements.

　　Trains and develops new operators, as well as assists them in achieving proper sign off and training on equipment they may use and processes they follow.

　　Responsible for monitoring all logistic employees to ensure they are following the proper processes and that any deviations are approved by a supervisor or manager.

　　Supports kanban systems and picking and put away strategies to ensure their proper function.

　　Request for a cycle count when uncovering a discrepancy between SAP and actual inventory and to report any discrepancies to the requesting assembly line so they can plan accordingly.

　　Performs supervisor duties in the supervisor’s absence.

　　May be required to act as lead in other logistics areas when required or when the logistics supervisor is out or unavailable

　　Performs operator duties in the operator’s absence.

　　Communicates in a customer/supplier approach with upstream and downstream processes to ensure customers’ requirements are met.

　　Enforces and lead by example of company policies, safety regulations, quality system processes and 5-S initiatives.

　　Understand and comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and TS16949 requirements.

　　Works extended or flexible hours as required to cover for gaps in leadership positions.

　　Essential Skills and Experience:

　　High School Diploma or GED.

　　English language competency required.

　　Two years of work experience in logistic/logistics environment

　　Preferred Skills and experience:

　　Microsoft Office and SAP knowledge preferred

　　Prior lead position experience preferred.

　　Product knowledge and previous work experience with industrial/commercial components preferred.

　　Knowledge of ISO 9001, TS 16949 and ISO 14001 preferred.
