Description

Robert Half is partnering with a Northshore construction company in search of a highly skilled Accounting Clerk. This role is based in Covington, Louisiana and will be part of a well established team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be expected to provide comprehensive financial support, including tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing of invoices and data entry related to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Conducting regular account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records

• Handling payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate compensation for all team members

• Assisting with month-end close procedures to ensure timely reporting

• Maintaining the general ledger, including full-cycle accounting support

• Providing comprehensive support using a popular ERP system and a widely-used spreadsheet software

• Using a well-known construction accounting software for various accounting tasks

• Ensuring accurate billing processes are followed and resolving any discrepancies promptly.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to manage Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Demonstrated skills in Billing operations

• Excellent Data Entry capabilities

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing procedures

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel

• Understanding of construction/contractor industry is desirable

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
