Job Description

　　Support and maintain the Intel SUSE Linux and IBM z/Linux environment. (ABB Systems)

　　Support and maintain the z/VM environment. (Operating Systems)

　　Help support and maintain the z/OS environment. (Operating Systems)

　　Design and configure integrated Linux servers and services on a global level.

　　Diagnose and resolve system hardware and software issues.

　　Assist in departmental support services by providing technical assistance.

　　Monitor and analyze system performance and make needed improvements.

　　Perform other systems tasks as needed.

　　Maintain and Test Disaster Recovery

　　Support NEMA business normal production schedule & operations (ensuring system uptime, availability, performance for the NEMA business)

　　Skills and Requirements

　　10+ years' experience in IS supporting SUSE Linux and IBM z/Linux and working with Red Hat Linux

　　Experience with capacity planning, optimizing, and scaling high traffic servers.

　　Understanding of network protocols such as DNS, FTP, HTTP, SMB, NFS

　　Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

　　Able to create and maintain project plans and documentation.

　　Function in a system architect role.

　　Good documentation and communication skills.

　　Able to work a flexible schedule including periodic after hours on-call and weekend work.

　　Knowledge of a large mainframe shop running on z/OS 2.1 sysplex >Computer science degree

　　Non-mainframe server experience null
