job summary:
Client requires a senior network engineer able to manage a network refresh project. The
project includes multiple sites over the next 2 years. Successful candidate will have hands-on
experience in the following areas. leading a network team creating configurations and diagrams for routers,
firewalls and layer 2 and 3 switches.

Required Skills -
Microsoft Visio; Cisco ASA; (Solarwinds, Cisco works), and Aruba CX / Aruba Central
Job Duties -
Responsible for network team management and task assignments to ensure project schedule is met.
Expected to lead by example while maintaining a client focus
The job responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, the following:
General Responsibilities
Take ownership of the network upgrade part of the project
Plan, schedule, assign task, meet deadlines
Surveying sites to identify current equipment, current connectivity and documenting
Documenting the current environment with a list of current equipment and Visio diagrams
Designing the upgraded network including any additions needed
Create Visio diagrams, rack elevations and build of materials for the upgraded network
Create the configurations for the new equipment in a staging area
Create a new configuration for the current equipment that will remain in place
Manage the installation, setup and cut-over of the new equipment into the network
Troubleshoot any issues identified during cut-over
Update the network management tools after cut-over completion
Document new network with Visio and Excel spreadsheets as needed

Desired Skills & Experience -
Aruba CX / Aruba Central
5+ years of network engineering experience
Minimum certification at the CCNA level Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio) strong customer focus and customer service skill Experience presenting to senior level management Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Comfortable working in a multi-client environment with ever changing priorities Ability to "white-board" solutions and strategies to client executive groups, users and IT staff Experience describing and documenting client requirements Must be detail oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements People leadership and supervisory skills A personality that understands and demands accuracy, punctuality, and accountability Recommended 3+ years experience with project management Experience in multiple phases of the system implementation life cycle Custom development experience with multiple platforms
