Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the non-profit industry located in Fort Worth, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting functions, including preparing daily and monthly GL entries, identifying discrepancies, providing policy recommendations, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily and monthly general ledger entries.

• Identify discrepancies in financial data and propose corrective actions.

• Use independent judgement to propose improvements to business operations policies.

• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and compliance issues.

• Contribute to the development and amendment of accounting systems, programs, and procedures.

• Research and record source of electronic bank transactions in the general ledger.

• Record revenue transactions and intercompany transactions.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with sub-ledgers on a monthly basis.

• Reconcile bank statements, open pledges, and cash receipts.

• Allocate expenses based on allocation plans.

• Provide support for Business Operations and Administration as needed.

• SAP Requirements • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant in a non-profit organization

• Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Solid understanding of general ledger functions and financial statements

• Experience with preparing and posting journal entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial reporting systems

• Experience with month-end/year-end close process

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP ERP systems

• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is preferred but not required

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
