　　We are a boutique practice located in State College, PA focused on providing very high-quality dental care in a friendly relaxed environment. The Practice is growing rapidly and we are seeking a part-time motivated dental hygienist to complement our team. The desired candidate must be willing to jump in and help when and where needed and go above and beyond to ensure our patients are comfortable and receive the best care possible. 　　Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

　　· Promote dental health by providing oral cancer screenings and radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and oral disease, and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act

　　· Complete dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath the gingival margin

　　· Select and maintain instrumentation for safe and effective dental hygiene treatment

　　· Comply with accepted practices to maintain a safe and clean working environment to include proper sterilization of instruments

　　· Give post-operative instructions and educate patients of all ages on proper homecare

　　· Schedule patients for dental treatments and prophylaxis recalls

　　· Assist the dentist with procedures when needed

　　· Maintain documentation and charts on each patient

　　· Perform various office tasks as necessary

　　Skills, Education and Licensing

　　The ability to have fun while contributing in a fast-paced team environmentAssociates Degree in Dental Hygiene (Bachelor's Degree preferred)Must hold a current Pennsylvania Dental Hygiene LicenseDental Hygienist experience preferredLocal Anesthesia License preferredCurrent CPR certificateExperience with Open Dental software preferredOutstanding communication skills with excellent 'chair-side manner'Job Type: Part-time 2-3 days a week
