About Senior SAP FICO Product Manager - Tech, Project Kuiper Finance

  Description

  Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Project Kuiper, Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world?

  It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Senior Product Manager - Tech to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology and information systems, who thinks and acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions.

  The ideal candidate will possess both the technical background that enables them to work with technology and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about Project Kuiper initiatives (satellite manufacturing and global infrastructure deployment). They will experience a wide range of problem solving situations requiring an understanding of technical infrastructure and stakeholder expectations.

  Key job responsibilities

  Own SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) product roadmap and drive implementation strategy for finance initiatives including integration with Amazon Corporate systems.

  Define and prioritize SAP FICO product features and requirements to ensure timely and successful delivery.

  Drive product discussion vision, goals, tenets, and monthly business reviews with leadership and skateholders.

  Develop use cases by gathering operating requirements, work with software development to build required features, clearly communicate dependencies and manage/track exceptions.

  Participate and build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure proposed solution can meet business requirements using SAP S/4.

  Active participation in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and User Training.

  Apply strong knowledge of the business processes for designing, developing, and testing SAP S/4 HANA ERP functionality, which includes expertise in general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset management, project system, cost center accounting, product cost controlling, profitability analysis, and profit center accounting.

  Configure SAP S/4 HANA FICO and Billing systems to meet business requirements, including connection points with SD, PP, MM, PS, and other modules and implementation of SAP best practices.

  Have an ability to navigate through a large amount of ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups.

  Demonstrate crisp communication skills, have experience communicating project status to a broad audience and be willing to follow appropriate escalation channels to ensure delivery as planned.

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree

  Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  Experience managing technical products or online services

  5+ years experience working as a functional lead or product manager with SAP FICO and Project System/Billing modules.

  5+ years experience in configuring SAP S/4 HANA FICO and Project systems to meet business requirements, including connection points with SD, PP, MM, PS, and other modules and implementation of SAP best practices.

  5+ years of experience in finance, supply chain, consulting or operations role with proven experience in leading process and systems transformation initiatives.

  Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

  Preferred Qualifications

  Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  Experience with e2open Transportation Management System (TMS).

  In-depth knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).

  Expertise and in-depth knowledge of Make-to-Order & Order-to-Cash processes.

  Experience with SAP Material Actual Costing and Project Billing systems.

  Knowledge of SAP Vendor and Customer Consignment Processes.

  Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology.

  Basic or working knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, PMP, or similar standards.

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
