　　About the Role

　　As a Senior QA Engineer, we are looking for someone with a strong background in automating testing for APIs, specifically focusing on data checks . The ideal candidate will have on hands experience designing and implementing automated tests for API endpoints, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data exchange between systems. The candidate should also have enough SQL knowledge to verify against the DB sources. You will work within our agile software development process, to guarantee the seamless integration and data quality of our API-driven applications.

　　This is a remote contract-based role with possibility of extension. 

　　Qualification and Experience

　　Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

　　Minimum 5 years of experience

　　Required skills/Competencies

　　Minimum 3 years of Performance Testing and Engineering experience including hands-on technical skills and experience in developing performance testing strategies, performance testing processes and methodologies.

　　At least 3 years of experience with SQL.

　　At least 3 years' experience with scripting language such C# scripting or JavaScript.

　　Excellent analytical and problem-solving with meticulous attention to data accuracy and integrity. 

　　Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams

　　Proven experience, as a QA engineer with a focus on API testing and automation, including SQL based data.

　　Experience with scripting language  such as C# scripting or JavaScript and API testing frameworks.

　　History of continually learning and adapting to the latest trends and technology.

　　Worked with CI/CD pipeline

　　In-depth understanding of RESTful API concepts, testing methodologies and data integrity best practices.

　　Experience with version control systems such as Git.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　Design, develop, and implement automated tests for API endpoints using industry standard automation tools and frameworks.

　　Utilize SQL queries to perform comprehensive data checks, ensuring the accuracy completeness and integrity of data exchanged through API interactions.

　　Collaborate with fellow Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand API specification, functional requirements and integration points.

　　Design and build performance test scripts and scenarios.

　　Identity and troubleshoot performance issues in collaboration with development teams. 

　　Implement and maintain automated regression tests to ensure the stability of API functionalities across releases.

　　Develop detailed test plans and test cases for API testing, incorporating SQL based data checks for various scenarios including positive and negative test cases.

　　Utilize SQL queries to perform comprehensive data checks, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data exchange through API interactions

　　Conducts performance testing on API for responsiveness, scalability and reliability under various loads conditions.

　　Contribute to the Confluence Knowledge base.
