SUMMARY:
This opening presents you with a fantastic opportunity to be a part of building exciting new capabilities within Dermalogica.
You will be well versed and interested in all aspects of supply chain planning, particularly the execution of material requirements planning and external contract manufacturing scheduling in support of ongoing and innovative business opportunities.
You will be excited by the development of new systems processes, and approaches to support functional performance improvements.
Alongside this there is the need to determine and implement appropriate performance metrics as a basis for future performance improvements with contract manufacturing operations (CMO).
You will be someone who can do this in a smart and intelligent way, merging best practice thinking in sales, inventory, and operational planning with the latest technology and software developments available.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the review and execution of material requirement planning signals for all inventoried items.
Place purchase orders with external contract manufacturing operations (CMO) using multiple tools and systems
Communicates production purchase forecast requirements with external contract manufacturing operations (CMO).
Organize and lead CMO production scheduling meetings regarding order promise date, inventory availabilities, priorities, and/or changes on a weekly cycle.
Develop and manage master production plans for all responsible product families.
Review Material Reconciliation to confirm that the components obtained at the end of the manufacturing process match with the input amount of material entered and used.
Assisting with New Product Innovation (NPI) Project coordinator for all product launches to ensure inventory within timeline.
Coordinates component availability or expedites with Material Specialist, CMO, and Warehouse.
Managing cross references between parent SKU and child SKU for sales order and forecasts.
Managing product lifecycles by collaborating with cross-functional teams on product transitions on existing items, discontinuations, and the rollouts of new promotional or limited-time offer SKUs.
Review and Manage Expiring Finished Goods and excess raw materials at the CMO.
Managing SKU to SKU transfer, used when a product is being rebranded, or when inventory needs to be consolidated from child SKU to parent SKU.
Review and balance inventory availability across multiple US warehouse locations to meet target service levels.
Review and update all requirements planning parameters utilizing a systematic approach to ensure it achieves optimal inventory availability.
Review current work practices and look for opportunities to streamline and more effectively manage processes.
Use independent judgment to identify when to escalate issues
Performs other projects or duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor-s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other related disciplines required.
Minimum 3 years of relevant in planning, scheduler, or procurement experience, specifically with manufacturing planning and execution.
You will have experience of identifying and implementing novel solutions to existing operational issues, preferably technology based, excel proficient is a plus.
Working knowledge of ERP systems and principles (JD Edwards and Oracle will be helpful).
Highly organized; self-motivated and detail oriented.
Ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
You will be able to demonstrate an ability to fail fast and iterate quickly.
Your approach will be results-oriented with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and an ability to build productive relationships with peers.
The position is based out of the corporate headquarters in Carson, CA, with applicable hybrid on site back to work guidelines.
The expected base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000. The exact salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, and budget.
This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
