About Principal Program Lead, Smart Equipment

  Overview

  The Test & Rollouts Principal Program Lead’s primary responsibility is to lead, influence, and partner with Restaurant Development, Digital Transformation & Technology, and Production Design as we pursue a Smart Restaurant environment. Specifically, the role will focus on the following critical functions and capabilities:

  Developing and leading a long term strategy for integrating connected equipment within the Restaurant

  Responsible for creating a prescriptive analytics strategy through the systematic evaluation of connected equipment

  Implementing these strategies through cross functional relationships to bring value and capability to the Restaurant and the Support Center

  Partnering within Restaurant Development, as well as Test & Rollout Sr. Project Leads, to refine our connected building strategy and to support emerging technology.

  Responsibilities

  Strategy owner for Test and Rollouts team, Restaurant Development, internal staff, and business partners for multiple, complex projects and initiatives.

  Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement connected equipment solutions, with strong internal partnerships, ensuring integration with existing systems and infrastructure.

  Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to develop IoT-enabled device capabilities that benefit Chick-fil-A, Inc. and Operators.

  Develop prototypes to validate the performance of connected equipment

  Assist asset management in understanding the status of connected equipment in the Restaurant portfolio.

  Ensure equipment programming requirements and specifications are coordinated across all Chick-fil-A departments in alignment with connected equipment principles

  Collaborate with Facilities Management to ensure capabilities developed can be maintained and supported after launch.

  Develop strong knowledge of Restaurant equipment including how the various components function within the overall restaurant environment and act as a resource to others

  Develop strong understanding of cross-functional systems and architecture (i.e. DTT, Production Design, Equipment Management) to ensure strategic alignment

  Partner with leadership to build team strategy and process enhancement for how Test & Rollouts executes team vision and work

  Minimum Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial), Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technical field of study

  8-10 years of experience

  Strong project management & communication skills

  Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint)

  Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects

  Strong analytical & problem-solving skills

  Technical knowledge and experience in the area of equipment, construction, and/or facilities management (retail/restaurant environment preferred)

  Ability to take initiative, recognize needs, and act without prompting from supervisor

  Self-motivated for continuous improvement of personal skills and business systems

  Preferred historical people leadership experience

  Preferred Qualifications
