Your Responsibilities
· You will be a leader within the Technology organization and, as such, accountable for people management including hiring, performance reviews, developing team members.
· Engage and influence Finance Technology practices with software engineers, operations, and product management teams to align the delivery of technical solutions.
· Manage availability, latency, scalability, and efficiency of jobs responsible for billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and any activity related to ERP systems.
· Drive quality accountability within the organization with well-defined processes, metrics, and goals for process quality.
· Identify and mitigate issues by leading effective postmortems for production issues and ensuring actions are followed up.
· Drive capacity planning, performance analysis, instrumentation, and other non-functional systems requirements.
· Supports after hour implementations to production and/or incident management.
· Provides input to leadership regarding budget, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
· At least 10 years’ experience in software development, information systems, or equivalent technical environment, including previous experience in the development of highly transactional, mission critical applications in heterogeneous environments/architectures for multi-user systems.
· At least 5 years of managing high performer software development teams in a Finance landscape, preferably related to ERP and Billing systems.
· Experience in Cloud environments, preferrable AWS.
· Outstanding oral, written, presentation and listening communication skills.
· Exceptional persuasion and diplomatic skills.
· Exceptional interpersonal skills and demeanor, including relationship building and collaboration with diverse cross-functional teams.
· Unparalleled leadership skills.
· Exceptional reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Experienced decision maker.
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related STEM field required or equivalent experience.
· Master’s degree in related field preferred.
· Demonstrates key competencies to include action orientation, driving results, plans and aligns, ensures accountability, influencing.
Your Team
This is a leadership role that will report to the Director, Software Engineering. You will have 5 to 7 direct reports and collaborate with cross functional domains on a regular basis.
Your Work Location
As our Senior Manager, Software Engineering, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art Pike & Rose building in Rockville, MD, opened in November 2023.
Right now, our associates in Rockville, MD are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtual from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
