  Schwab Charitable was founded by Charles Schwab & Co. and while it operates as an independent charity, it is closely affiliated with and enjoys the support of Charles Schwab & Co, including contractual agreements to provide a variety of services. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co. and will be subject to its human resources and risk policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to Schwab Charitable for day-to-day activities.

  What you have

  The position of Manager, Investment Oversight is responsible for leading and supporting the oversight and reporting for the investment portfolio. Schwab Charitable offers the ability to invest in core mutual fund pools and through professionally managed accounts. This position will report to the Director of Investment Oversight.

  Position Responsibilities:

  Run and support quarterly presentation production for reporting to the Investment Oversight Committee of Schwab Charitable's Board of Directors Lead and support quarterly data collection and analysis with respect to Core, Professionally Managed Accounts and Alternative Investments programs Ensure consistency of data, reconciliation, and analysis for new and existing alternative investments Ensure robust investment compliance and investment performance reporting process, including analysis and remediation Maintain professionally managed account information in the performance database including index data in the performance database Conduct thorough review of exceptions workflow to settle opportunities to streamline Partner across organization to support exception review/tracking/maintenance Support annual review of illiquid investments, including performance and trends analysis Day-to-day investment oversight and monitoring of investment portfolio to ensure compliance with Schwab Charitable's investment policy statement Provide subject matter expertise and support to team members and partner groups, and resolve complicated data discrepancy and oversight issues as needed Ensure the timely resolution of donor, financial advisor and/or internal inquiries related to investment oversight Actively run and support projects related to current and future initiatives within the team and the broader Investment Oversight department Work closely with Investment Oversight Director, technical partners, internal or external business analysts to implement successful migration and enhanced reporting with new system Support migration of all data and analytics to a new software. Facilitate and develop enhanced portfolio data and reporting Help drive business decisions or influence processes and procedures to further scale, efficiency, and automation Identify, propose, and implement improvements to investment oversight processes Perform other reporting needs as required by the business, ad-hoc analysis, and projects Manage other investment oversight related requests as needed

  5+ years of professional experience with background in investment oversight, monitoring, analysis, fund administration, or reporting at a financial services firm, bank, or brokerage Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other fields. Certificates from industry or investment professional organization a plus. Knowledge of investment management process, as well as the IT systems necessary to process and manage these investments Knowledge of investment process, investment performance and investment risk management theory High degree of comfort dealing with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast paced work environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; the ability to analyze issues and problems systematically, gathering broad and balanced input, draw sound conclusions and translate conclusions into clear, specific objectives and plans Ability to partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and business analysts to identify problems & opportunities, lead initiatives, discuss challenging issues, and learn more about critical issues as a group Project management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently (independently and with teams), to meet tight deadlines with minimal direct supervision Relationship building experience; ability to drive strong partnerships and relationships both internally and externally Advanced skills in Excel and shown quick learning experience in new investment and data analytic software. Must have strong data analytic skills. PowerPoint skills to communicate strategically and effectively via presentation decks Experience in fostering a positive team culture and engaging team members Ad hoc programming skills a plus

  In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
