  The Experience Design team is responsible for designing innovative, best-in-class solutions across mobile, web and desktop platforms. We are a multi-disciplinary group of product designers, content strategists, researchers and design operations specialists that collaborate with business and technology partners across the enterprise to build exceptional digital experiences for millions of passionate clients.   We are seeking a seasoned Principal XD Strategist and visionary who will be responsible for leading the creation of world-class digital experiences across multiple lines of business and channels. This individual fiercely advocates for Schwab clients and knows how to set a vision and the plan to see it through. They are driven by data to deliver business outcomes and are committed to leading the creation of elegantly designed simple user experiences from otherwise complex workflows.

  In this role, you’ll know how to balance discovery and delivery side, but also the business aspects of the digital products and solutions we create. You’ll collaborate with leaders of other XD, Product, and Engineering teams to create innovative experiences across all of Schwab’s products, leveraging your passion for brand, craft, and experience quality. Through either brilliant content strategy or stunning product design (or both), this individual will lead some of Schwab’s most complicated and impactful digital solutions for millions of client’s.   RESPONSIBILITIES

  Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gain support for experience strategies.

  Lead a cross-functional team to develop innovative design solutions to solve client problems and deliver business outcomes.

  Solve complicated user journeys across all digital channels, platforms, and client’s segments.

  Own improvements in design based on digital analytics, user research testing and stakeholder input and provide guidance and expertise to effectively engage stakeholders on product design to achieve product goals.

  Find creative solutions to client journeys that overlap and negotiate client/business tradeoffs.

  What you have

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  10+ years of experience creating digital products and solutions across web and mobile channels.

  8+ years of experience leading complex digital projects and programs.

  Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  Strong ability to balance innovative design-thinking and discovery practices with pragmatic, rapid and iterative delivery.

  Expert communicator, both written and orally, throughout all levels the organization.

  Ability to create a safe and engaging environment to get the most out of the team and have fun along the way.

  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industry experience.

  Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  10+ years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
