About Room Attendant

  JOB REQUIREMENTS: A Room Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness ofguestrooms. -Cleans entire bedroom area according to establishedprocedure which includes changing linen, vacuum and dusting. -Cleansentire bathroom area according to established procedure to includechanging soiled towels out and emptying garbage cans. -Replenish allguestroom supplies according to established levels. -Reports all repairsneeded in guestrooms to the Housekeeping Inspector. -Brings all itemsfound in vacant rooms immediately to the Housekeeping Inspector.-Reports the status of rooms as they are completed to the FloorInspector. -Returns equipment and supplies to the proper storage areas.-Follows proper safety, security and hospitality procedures. -Respond toguest requests, needs and changes, and relay guest comments. To performthis job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below arerepresentative of the knowledge, -skill, and/or ability required.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals withdisabilities to perform the essential functions. ***** OTHEREXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: -Prior housekeeping experience preferred,but not necessary While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; andreach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk.The employee is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel,crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently liftand/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include closevision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperception, and ability to adjust focus. The position is indoors, andthe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposedto moving mechanical parts and chemicals.
