As our Patient Safety Specialist RN Acute Care at VMFH Division Support Services,, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health, you’ll be part of the patient safety program which is focused on promoting a culture of safety and driving HRO. Playing a lead in the response to serious safety events you will take an active role in implementing effective strategies and best practices designed to strengthen our culture of safety.
To thrive in this role, you must be a subject matter expert in the field of patient safety. Utilizing your analytical skills you will collect, analyze and interpret data to support decision making. Every interaction is an opportunity to share your knowledge with others and improve their understanding of safety and compliance standards within the organization. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Plays a key role in the response to serious safety events, major unanticipated clinical events and high-risk near-miss events facilitating and managing the investigation.
Takes an active role in implementing effective strategies and best practices to strengthen a culture of safety.
Providers subject matter expertise in the field of patient safety.
Manage complex parallel workstreams in response to serious unanticipated clinical events.
Provides coaching to others on communication to patients and families following adverse medical events.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Washington.
Three (3) Years or more related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities.
Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) or equivalent preferred.

Pay Range
$44.63 - $64.72 /hour
