  Job Summary:

  The Team Lead Security Officer is a Supervisor-level role responsible for the protection of company property and interest. Our ideal candidate demonstrates diligence and integrity while enhancing guest experience.

  Job Specifications:

  Expected Pay Range: $23.00 - $27.94 / hour

  Shift & Schedule Availability:  Full Time

  Skill Level: Lead

  Job Responsibilities:

  Identifying and reporting, or correcting safety issues;

  Provide operational guidance for Junior Leads;

  Lead and organize daily operations of the Security department;

  Assisting/interacting with guests and staff in a professional and courteous manner;

  Providing high visibility presence in order to deter criminal activity and violations of resort conduct code;

  Coaching and Counseling of Security team;

  Transporting of deposits and banks from sales locations to vault;

  Responding to and investigating incidents and accidents;

  Submitting thorough and clear reports;

  Cooperating with law enforcement in investigations;

  Conducting regular inspections and enforcing policies in housing units.

  Manage a team of up to 20 Security officers (schedule, training, etc)

  Be able to work well with other departments throughout the resort.

  Assist Manager in hiring, separating, disciplining and evaluating team members.

  Maintain a training / development curriculum for team members.

  Promote a safe, productive, enjoyable work environment.

  Scheduling of departmental personnel for adequate staffing and minimal overtime.

  Ensure employee payroll is approved on time.

  Ensure incident reports are completed and followed up on.

  Oversee fire and life safety systems of all Mountain facilities.

  Ensure functionality of access control systems.

  Reports directly to the Security Manager.

  Other duties as assigned

  Job Requirements:

  High School graduate or equivalent - required.

  Speak, read and write in English - required.

  Valid drivers license - required.

  Pass VR background check - required.

  Exceptional guest service skills - required.

  Computer proficient with Microsoft applications - required.

  Able to work outdoors is all conditions - required.

  Able to lift 100lbs - required.

  Previous security or relevant experience - preferred.

  Knowledge of Mountain and its operations - preferred.

  Knowledge of Vail Resorts policies and procedures - preferred.

  The expected pay range is $23.00 - $27.94. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
