We are currently looking for our newest Registered Respiratory Therapist to work at Wesley Chapel BayCare Hospital.

Job Summary:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist II is a clinical professional who utilizes the department's scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

Delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment.

Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.

Perform diagnostic testing; and Emergency care/Adult critical care.

Certification and Licensures Required:

RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist License)

Active NBRC Credential for RRT

CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

BLS (Basic Life Support)

NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months of start date

ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months of start date

PALS (Pediatric) - within 6 months of start date

Education Required:

Technical Respiratory Therapy Degree

Associates Degree - Respiratory Therapy

Experience Required:

6 months minimumSpecific Skills Required:

Clinical and computer skills appropriate to the position

Collaborate and work well with a team

Critical thinkings skills

Advanced Respiratory Assessment and Evaluations

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:30pm- 7:00am

Shift: Nights

Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: No
