Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 14 countries.
Job Summary
The Logistics Supervisor Airfield holds a crucial position in the planning, organization, and leadership of daily activities within specific departmental or functional areas. This role actively contributes to achieving short- and long-term goals, establishes production standards, and recommends operational enhancements. The supervisor is responsible for implementing training requirements, monitoring employee performance, ensuring compliance with safety policies and government regulations, and supporting the movement control of cargo and personnel through the U.S. Military Transportation System.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead and organize day-to-day activities within designated departmental or functional areas.
Implement training requirements and monitor employee performance.
Establish and enforce production standards, ensuring compliance, and recommending operational improvements.
Assist the manager in achieving short- and long-term goals for the department/function.
Maintain employee compliance with safety policies and government regulations.
Provide movement control support for surface and air cargo and personnel transportation through the U.S. Military Transportation System.
Possess working knowledge of Movement Automation Query Systems (e.g., GTN, GDSS, GATES, ITV).
Communicate effectively with military personnel, comprehend military flight information, and adhere to local policies.
Troubleshoot problems related to Department of Defense (DOD) movements terminology.
Perform administrative duties supporting Airfield Terminal Operations.
Read and understand Air Load Plans and make decisions in a high-stress atmosphere.
Prioritize tasks based on outlined instructions.
Undertake other job-related tasks as dictated by duties and mission requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
2T2 (AF AFSC) or 88N (Army MOS) plus HAZ cargo certification is a plus.
Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in logistics or related field desirable.
Extensive military training in logistics plans and operations or equivalent civilian coursework required. The ideal candidate possesses a thorough understanding of military or industrial logistics and operations, demonstrating the ability to plan, track, and execute logistical support operations efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Prefer 88N or previous Movement Control Team (MCT) experience.
Familiarization and certification in the Joint Inspection process.
