  GENERAL OVERVIEW:

  Renders professional respiratory care services in the treatment and care of patients within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

  ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Provides clinical respiratory care in NICU, Delivery Room and transport setting. (40%)

  Performs ongoing respiratory assessments and reassessments and plan of care development. (30%)

  Demonstrates effective leadership skills. (15%)

  Participate in department projects, teamwork and continuing education. (15%)

  QUALIFICATIONS:

  Minimum

  Associate’s Degree OR equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; OR six months to one year related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.

  Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or TPP.

  Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).

  BLS upon hire.

  Preferred

  Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT, or Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT).

  1 year experience in a hospital setting.
