  We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Corporate Functions within our HR Corporate Functions team located at Corporate Headquarter in Allentown, PA. This position requires 10% domestic / global travel.

  As a member of the Corporate Functions HR, the incumbent is responsible for providing both strategic and operational HR support and leadership to senior leaders and employees in the following global corporate functions and business areas: Finance; Investor Relations; Government Relations; Community Relations; Digital Technology; Legal; Corporate Communications..

  Nature & Scope

  The incumbent is the trusted HR partner and executive coach to leadership team members of the Company's Finance, Investor Relations. Government Relations, Community Relations, Digital Technology, Law, Corporate Communications, Global Asset Protection, M&A, and Aviation functions; Global Helium business; Large Project & Business Development teams.

  Collaborates and partners with regional HR Business Partners in support of the global corporate functions within the regions (Americas, Asia, Europe/Africa, Middle East & India). Drives for global alignment in these organizations where it makes sense, allowing for regional variations within the global standards where appropriate. Advances employee engagement and company culture in these locations, as well as transformational efforts as required.

  Required Skills / Abilities:

  Strategic Business Partner:  Provides strategy and direction on a broad range of strategic HR services to the respective Corporate Function leaders and acts as change agent to promote transformation and Strategic Workforce Planning. Develops and maintains strategic HR partnerships with all levels of management while providing proactive coaching, feedback, guidance, and support on all people related issues and challenges. Participates as an integral member of the leadership team(s) supported and provides credible insights to help inform strategic people decisions. Develops and drives comprehensive, cost-effective, globally-integrated HR solutions to meet business needs.  Specific areas of responsibility include the following:Develops strong, trusted partnerships with leaders to understand, guide, and advise on strategic business and people mattersEvaluates and executes priorities in a fast-changing environment using a well-organized and disciplined approachPartners with business leaders and HR colleagues to develop comprehensive strategic workforce plans designed to ensure global functions have the talent and organizational capabilities required to achieve both short-term and longer-term business objectivesLeads efforts to establish a robust talent management process designed to ensure a robust leadership pipeline exists for critical leadership roles across the global functionsPartners with leaders and centralized recruiting resources to support the talent acquisition processChampions diversity, inclusion, and belonging and drives our D&I goals and initiativesUnderstands and monitors workforce trends using data to develop action plans which increase overall employee engagement and retention. Drives culture change and models Air Products competencies and growth mindset while expecting the same from leaders supported.Resolves employee relations issues at senior levels of the organization when escalated from MyHR (Employee Relations team). Conducts sensitive investigations at leadership level when appropriate.Collab rates with the Total Rewards team to ensure competitive market pay and incentives and retention packages are effective in meeting business needs. Provide senior management with analytical information and insights (employee metrics, turnover reports, survey information, pay equity, and compensation information) to facilitate business decisions.Maintains knowledge of industry trends, benchmarks and applicable employment legislation and laws to ensure compliance. Understands policies and practices in the US and in other countries where there is critical mass of employees in organizations supported. Education and Licensing Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business, HR or related field is required, Master's degree preferred15+ years of progressive experience in all aspects of People Operations / Human ResourcesFunctions effectively across a global, fast-paced, highly matrixed organization with a high work ethicStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to influence at all levels of an organizationProject management skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills and experience leading organizational changeExperience with transformation and change management work is required and courage to take unpopular positions when needed is a plusEffective in managing conflict, dealing with controversy and mediating situation to a positive resultWe are the world's largest hydrogen producer with over 80 years of industrial gas experience.
