　　Position Summary: As a member of the St. John’s Protective Services Team, The Protective Services Officer provides safety and protection to residents, visitors and employee. Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Also does checks to ensure safety of facility and grounds. Responsibilities include:

　　Performs all duties of a Protective Services Officer.

　　Performs Patrols of Campus.

　　Answer Calls for Service.

　　Investigates complaints.

　　Respond to medical and fire alarms.

　　Prepare Logs and Reports.

　　Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma or GED

　　Associates degree in Police Science, Criminal Justice, or a related field plus a minimum of 1-year relevant experience; or 2 years of directly applicable experience; or an equivalent combination of education preferred.

　　Emergency Medical First Responder or E.M.T. / CPR-AED Certification preferred.

　　NYS Security Guard Card certification and experience preferred.

　　Valid NYS driver’s license with ability to meet agency driving standards required.

　　Basic computer knowledge.

　　At least 1 year of security or public safety work preferred.

　　Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

　　PROOF OF COVID VACCINATION NO LONGER REQUIRED-VACCINE MANDATE HAS EXPIRED.

　　Pay

　　Commensurate with experience: $17.00-$20.00 hourly.
