To deliver this vision, the Enterprise Digital Services Organization islooking for an Engineering Director to lead our API-Management and Integration teams, which is responsible for designing, developing, and establishing governance and standards for the pan-HP APIs and service-integrations that connect our platform with various internal and external systems and services. You will be responsible for the operational uptime of our API-management platform and IPaaS, which enable HP customers and partners to easily integrate their applications with our platforms, and access our data and enterprise capabilities.

The scope of the role is global and will report into the VP, Enterprise Digital Services Organization.
Responsibilities
· Define and execute the vision and strategy for the API and Integration team, aligning with the company's goals and priorities.
· Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, feedback, and career development.
· Ensure the quality, performance, security, and scalability of the APIs and integrations, following best practices and standards.
· Collaborate with other engineering teams, product managers, and stakeholders to understand the business requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
· Drive innovation and adoption of new technologies and methodologies that enhance the API and Integration capabilities and user experience.
· Lead the development and delivery of our API-management platform and IPaaS, which enables our customers to easily integrate their applications with our platform and access our data and functionality.
· Establish and monitor the key performance indicators and service level agreements for the API-management platform and IPaaS, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
· Develop and maintain the documentation, training, and support for the API-management platform and IPaaS, ensuring usability and accessibility.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
· 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
· Expertise in API design, development, testing, documentation, and management, using RESTful, GraphQL, or gRPC protocols.
· Experience with the API Management and Integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Apigee, etc.
· Experience in building and maintaining integrations with various systems and services, such as CRM, ERP, payment, messaging, identity, etc.
· Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, etc.
· Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their services and tools.
· Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
· Passion for delivering high-quality products and services that delight customers.
