Description
Japan Consumer Innovation (JCI) Retail Scaling Team is seeking Program Manager with strong analytical capabilities to join the Vendor Operations team, which supports vendors in achieving operational compliance and excellence in its fulfillment activities to Amazon. This role brings together business skills, social engagement, empirical data analysis and external technology to enable better collaboration with Amazon’s selling partners. The scope of work includes driving existing compliance initiatives, and piloting a new incentives program to test its impact and develop a roadmap for further expansion. It is a unique opportunity to get exposure to Retail leadership, retail business groups and Operations teams working in the supply chain space. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of analytical work, working with and influencing internal teams, and delivering results on multi-stakeholder projects.
Key job responsibilities
Understand all aspects of vendor operations involved with fulfilling Amazon’s orders
Lead programs that improve vendor operational excellence, which contributes to reduction of Amazon’s cost to serve
Build mechanisms to track progress of programs and measure impact
Partner with other functional teams both domestically and globally
Interact with various stakeholders (e.g. business, tech, data, legal, finance, etc.) at multiple levels to define and launch programs
Identify challenges and needs to help evolve job scope and team mandate as needed
A day in the life
Check in with partnering vendor managers and instock managers to obtain status updates and any roadblocks their vendors are facing for any operational performance metric
Dive deep with data analysis to identify root causes of any road blocks or issues, and offer action items to help bring to resolution
Sync with product team managing supplier performance dashboard to stay on track for launch in JP
Update stakeholders on a biweekly basis on ongoing initiatives and new programs, utilization data from existing and newly created reporting mechanisms

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of program or project management experience
3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
3+ years of driving process improvements experience
Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
