  Description

Passionate about solving hard problems? Want to help Amazon achieve the trifecta of fast speeds, low costs and great reliability? Here's an opportunity to transform how Amazon moves packages through its logistics network by optimizing and automating within-building operations. Implement robotic interfaces, guided associate workflows, flow optimization engines, machine learning algorithms, and more to generate savings for a billion dollar plus operating spend.

To date, you will have successfully built technology products that automate processes and provide users with experiences they love. You are able to synthesize a variety of technologies and capabilities, and translate them into tools and intelligence that solve specific pain-points. You actively contribute to tech architecture and design decisions, are analytical and data driven, and are laser focused on measuring and improving the success metrics of products you own. You are adept at working across cross-disciplinary teams, making hard prioritization choices, and ensuring complete visibility of your product roadmap to stakeholders.

As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will ensure the teams are delivering the highest quality products and services predictably while meeting the technical needs of our community. You will guide both strategy and tactical decision-making to deliver complex cross-team programs. As well as partner with program managers to help support the strategic deliverables while working with engineering to support important technical efforts.

The role will require constant balance between long term product vision along with addressing immediate needs, driving an incremental approach that is metrics and data driven. It will require communicating effectively with leaders across Director and VP level on a regular basis while ensuring that the teams are aligned and stakeholders are aware of key performance indicators.

The role is a hybrid of having deep technical knowledge and being instinctive on how Sort Tech should function as a business along with a deep technical understanding of how to make these changes happen via a distributed domain services approach. It will require building and overseeing products that work beyond Amazon wherever our sellers and shippers can benefit from our products and fulfillment services.

You will define strategy and build and execute road maps for the programs you own

You will be responsible for overall coordination, quality and productivity and will be the primary point of contact for world-wide stakeholders of programs that you run

Throughout, you will internalize Amazon’s Leadership Principles, and live those into everyday practices to guide your programs to success
