JOB REQUIREMENTS: Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invitesapplications for a full-time Assistant Director of Experiential Learningto join our Academics department as part of the CREATE(Community-focused Real-world Engagement in Academics ThroughExperiential-learning) Institute at MSOE. The CREATE Institute focuseson faculty, student, and community programming to ensure that all MSOEgraduates embody the MSOE Mindset. Under the direction of the Directorof the CREATE Institute, the Assistant Director of Experiential Learningsupports MSOE Mindset development by integrating project-basedexperiential learning and other high-impact practices throughout thecurriculum at MSOE. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage aportfolio of real-world experiential learning opportunities that areintegrated into courses throughout the university to ensure we aremeeting the needs of all stakeholders (students, faculty, communitypartners, and industry partners): Work with faculty to vet potentialprojects to determine if they are a good fit for all stakeholders Triageprojects to appropriate faculty, courses, student teams, or studentorganizations Secure industry professionals to mentor students onprojects when applicable Facilitate project transitions to new teams inbetween academic terms and years Establish new and maintain existingrelationships with external partners (community and industry) Maintainportal for ongoing procurement, management, facilitation, and sharing ofprojects Provide leadership and resources to help faculty leverageindustry partnerships to facilitate real-world experiential learning andEntrepreneurial Minded Learning pedagogy effectively Maintain records ofexternal partnerships related to real-world experiential learningprojects Support the CREATE Student Fellow leadership program Supportprogram development for The Cove Other Duties & Responsibilities MentorMSOE\'s University Innovation Fellows Support the Director of CREATE indeveloping, facilitating, and assessing a high-impact learning programinto all four years of MSOE\'s undergraduate curriculum Support theDirector of CREATE in developing, facilitating, and assessingorientation week activities for students, staff, and faculty whichsupport fostering the growth of the MSOE Mindset Assist with new facultyonboarding and mentor program Travel to conferences, workshops, andexemplar programs to gain insight into best practices and leverageexisting resources (approximately two trips per year) Support theAssociate Vice President of Academic Success and InstitutionalEffectiveness in efforts to assess institutional metrics Serve onvarious institutional committees, task groups, councils, boards, andteams as a representative of the CREATE Institute as needed Workcollaboratively with all university personnel to promote CREATEInstitute programming and MSOE\'s shared purpose (mission, vision,values, and...
