Job Description

　　BorgWarner Morse Systems is the world leader in automotive chain systems for engine timing and power transmission/torque transfer. The Ithaca division is located on Warren Road in Ithaca and has been in this region for over a century. We are looking for 2nd and 3rd shift production operators at this unionized location. We have openings in many areas including, but not limited to chain manufacturers, machinists, press operators, heat treaters, material storekeepers, and tensioners.

　　Education/Experience:

　　Manufacturing and mechanical experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidates

　　Experience working in an industrial environment is helpful

　　These openings are for 2nd shift (3pm – 11pm) and 3rd shift (11pm – 7am), with occasional weekend openings

　　Must have the ability to communicate effectively using oral and written methods, as well as understand written instructions

　　Some computer proficiency is required for training and accessing/entering production information

　　Basic math and measurement skills required

　　Adherence and commitment to all plant safety and environmental policies and procedures is critical

　　Willingness to work as part of a cooperative team, as well as function independently

　　Applicants that are offered a position with us will be required to do pre—employment screening that includes a physical and a drug screen, and to a complete a background check.

　　Benefits and Compensation:

　　Union facility with negotiated labor grades starting at $18.22 - $21.00/hr + shift differentials

　　Currently offering a hiring bonus of $1000, where you get the 1st $500 when you complete 6 months of employment and the 2nd $500 after 12 months of employment.
