  Indorama Ventures Hygiene - Covington site is part of the hygiene – fibers vertical and applications for products include diapers, fem care products, geotextiles, and numerous other nonwoven products.

  Scope: The Process Technology Engineering Manager will support the business directors and supply chain managers as a hands-on leader in the manufacturing of polypropylene mono fiber and BiComponent specialty fibers.

  Position Objectives:

  Act as a positive change agent in critical performance aspects of manufacturing activities at plants…S/H/E, PT, and Capital Projects.

  Ensure process improvement plans are aligned with the needs of the business.

  Lead group of process engineers in Covington Plant.

  Serve as Technical Leader for Covington and Athens plants.

  Lead Technical Improvement efforts in manufacturing.

  Travel to other sites, as needed.

  Technical Knowledge and Skills:

  Fundamental understanding of what makes people “tick”. Facilitation skills.

  Financial Knowledge:

  oUnderstands financial statements, costing methodologies and various methods of cost/benefit analysis.

  Business Knowledge:

  oUnderstands drivers that affect the performance of a business.

  Process Knowledge:

  oUnderstands how to analyze manufacturing and business processes toward optimization.

  oTakes a systematic approach to solving problems and making improvements.

  oKnowledge in 6 sigma methodologies and practical application of tools.

  Computer Skills

  oLiterate in current software tools, i.e., e-mail, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, etc.

  Required Experience and Education:

  BS in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Eng. preferred.

  7+ years in manufacturing management varied functions within manufacturing (engineering, process technology, operations preferred).

  5+ years exposure to the business management/environment (directly through assignment or through business team experience).

  Academic training in business management a plus.

  Experience in process technology and manufacturing of synthetic fibers a plus.

  Leadership/Managerial Skills:

  Demonstrated ability to define objectives and integrate them into the organization.

  Ability to perform both long- and short-term planning.

  Ability to challenge the status quo – open minded to new ideas.

  Can effectively communicate vision and goals of the organization.

  Ability to generate enthusiasm in the workplace – a motivator.

  Has a track record of developing people who have grown in ability to contribute.

  Ability to create and sustain an open team atmosphere.

  Capable of making and enacting difficult decisions.

  Soft Skills:

  Self-motivated and develops/encourages same quality in others.

  Positive can-do attitude, self-confidence.

  Mature judgment.

  Can demonstrate “street smarts” - emotionally stable.
