Job Duties:
Service Information Developers (SIDs) utilize the ACM (Advanced content management) system to develop and electronically author a variety of service information types used to operate, maintain and repair Caterpillar equipment specific to Excavator, building construction and Earth moving products. Assignments support both new and non-current product design. Service information products that are produced by the Service information developers have significant impact on efficiency and profitability of dealer service operations.
SID will have continuous interaction with Project leaders, Product design support Engineers and the use of a variety of corporate systems and resources.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical engineering with maximum 1 year experience or equivalent accredited associate degree with maximum 2 to 3 years of experience.
Background / Experience:
Experience in Servicing/ Maintenance/Trouble shooting/Technical writing in Earth moving industry or equivalent. Person worked with Caterpillar machines or systems will be given first preference.
Candidates with good knowledge in reading and interpreting Engineering drawings, schematics and experience in 3D modeling tools are preferred.
Self-driven, able to complete the task given with less supervision.
Good mechanical/electrical aptitude, customer focus, initiative, planning & organizing with good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Required Software skills :
SGML, Epic editor, Canvas, Coral draw Pro-E/Creo, Vismockup, Adobe illustrator CS3, SAP VEA 8.0, Canvas 9, Canvas 14.
