  About Internal Audit

  Discover’s Internal Audit Department (IAD) is committed to providing insightful perspectives, leveraging specialized talent, and delivering a refreshing experience to all of our stakeholders.   Summary:

  The Consumer Compliance Internal Audit team assesses business processes and practices for the risk of non-compliance with applicable consumer laws and regulations. The team completes audit testing in a dynamic environment across a wide variety of regulatory topics and assesses risk management frameworks, controls, and governance to provide insights to business partners regarding compliance risk.

  Focus Areas include:

  Fair Lending Laws and Regulations

  Consumer Compliance Lending Regulations

  Consumer Compliance Depository Regulations

  Unfair and Deceptive Practices

  Privacy and Consumer Information Regulations

  Community Reinvestment Act

  Compliance Management Systems

  Responsibilities:

  Lead and oversee audits of the Company's compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and expectations

  Design and execute moderately complex testing and validations

  Perform and plan audit tasks of moderate difficulty

  Identify opportunities to build and leverage available data and analytical tools during planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases of audit engagements

  Lead staff during engagements

  Provide coaching/feedback to audit staff

  Minimum Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Technology, Analytics, or related field

  Relevant Experience: 3+ years

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Regulatory Compliance audit experience within an Accounting / Consulting firm, Financial Institution, or Regulatory Agency

  Certifications:

  Six Sigma, STEM, or Business, Risk, Compliance, or Audit related certifications

  CRCM, CPA, CIA, CFE, CAMS, American Bankers Association professional certificates

  Compensation:

  The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
