Description
The Development Information Supervisor at ChildServe will be r esponsible for donor database management, foundation reporting, prospect management, gift recording, development officer support, data analytics, data integrity, and data security for ChildServe’s development program. This team member m ay supervise team members.
What You'll Do
Gift Management: Manage and process contributions to the Foundation and ensure accurate information relating to fund balances, appeal analysis, and campaign and program tracking. Produce timely gift receipt acknowledgements for contributions. Interface with accounting department to reconcile gift data at month and year-end; provide relevant data to auditors as requested.
Database Management: Oversee and continuously improve the quality of donor information in the database and other records, such as biographical and collateral material of constituents. Research and implement software/process improvements to enhance donor and prospect development. Assess and ensure accuracy, security and integrity of database. Maintain database integrity and process documentation for consistent and accurate donor and prospect records. Provide the data infrastructure to support various fundraising strategies, projects, and activities. Prepare reports to support departmental needs. Produce targeted mailing lists for various appeals, invitations, and newsletters as requested. Obtain information, reports, and data analytics beneficial to grow fundraising program in areas such as donor retention, new donors, and other dashboard indicators.
Process Improvement: Work with the Foundation team to identify, build and improve database and fundraising program processes.
Prospects: With the team, proactively identify new and high-level annual and major gift prospects through a broad spectrum of sources, including electronic alerts, data mining techniques, screening information, analysis, and other markers of high-capacity donors. Actively participate in the formulation of major gift prospect lists and produce in-depth donor profiles as needed.
Event Support: Provide logistical and database support for ChildServe special fundraising events. Ensure timely gift processing for all event donations.
Development Support: Deliver pro-active support to development officers. Effectively assist in the management, implementation, and expense monitoring of all ChildServe Foundation special events designed to generate revenue and promote Child Serve in the community. Promote and model the brand, vision, mission, and values. Assure compliance with external rules and regulations and organizational policies and procedures. Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct in relation to information that is confidential in nature.
Leadership: As applicable, supervise Specialist team member(s) through effective hiring, training, coaching, and performance management. Ensure development of staff to achieve high results. Promote engagement and satisfaction to drive retention. Collaborate with management team to identify opportunities for improvement.
What You'll Need
Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Three to five years of development information management experience required.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, donor software (preferably Raiser's Edge) and ability to proficiently learn new software programs.
Ability to communicate in English effectively for understanding, in writing and verbally.
