SUMMARY
Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Planning Supervisor; who is reporting to the Planning Manager, the Planning Supervisor will be responsible for Production Planning, and Production Control management activities including SAP Business System integrity and alignment, shortage management and key operations reporting.
Work Type: Onsite at Oakville site facility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership - Provide leadership to Operations Planning employees and team members. Ensure they are engaged, trained and contribute to the success of the site
Production Planning – monitor and execute detail production planning for all programs
Production Control – help develop detail production plans including recovery planning and shortage management
Inventory Control - champion, measure, and drive inventory accuracy and reduction in the attainment of inventory reduction goals and targets
Lean Manufacturing – responsible to ensure lean principles are applied to part flow and all other material management activities
Operations Reporting – responsible for OTD, Material availability, Inventory- Aged WIP, On Time Start & Milestone OTD and all other applicable shop reporting activities
Continuous Improvement - Lead process improvements events
Define the individual team member goals to align to site level goals and actively review the status of the performance management
Generate robust process to monitor the health of plans and standard calendar adherence
Identify the root causes corrective actions plan for the Plan adherence deviations and identify the solutions to fix the root cause
Spend time on the shop-floor to support operations team and collect feedback from operations to increase planning alignment
Develop standard works and procedures to comply with corporate guidelines
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment . or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
Previous ERP Experience.
Experience in inventory control analysis and production control techniques.
Experience in production scheduling concepts and their financial impact (inventory turns, cash flow).
Eligible to work in Canada; Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in SAP Business Systems
2 - 3 years’ experience in supervisory or team leading position.
Strong ability to work both in a management oversight capacity and in detailed hands-on system capacity.
