Responsible for the provision of Core, Intensive and Training servicesto young adults ages 17-24. The position, funded under the WorkforceInnovation Opportunity Act (WIOA), includes a wide variety of customerdevelopment functions, including but not limited to Outreach,Eligibility Verification, Intensive Assessment, On-going CaseManagement, Employability Development and Follow-Up Services. Liaison toCommunity Based partners. Supervision Received: Receives generalsupervision from the Program Director who assigns and oversees workproviding guidance and instruction regarding laws, regulations, rules,policies, and procedures: reviews work, assists in employeeself-development, and conducts performance reviews. Detailed Statementsof Duties and Responsibilities: Outreach to eligible applicants througha variety of resources. Collection of WIOA mandated eligibilitydocumentation. Conducts intensive needs assessment including academicand skill level, career aptitude and interests, employability skills andbarriers to education and or employment. Development of IndividualService Strategy based on comprehensive assessment. Facilitates decisionmaking and goal setting. Identifies resolutions to barriers. Introducesopportunities linking academic and occupational learning. Provideson-going case management services. Coordinates WIOA Youth servicesincluding all fourteen required service elements. Provides referrals toeducation, post-secondary training facilities and community-basedorganizations. Facilitates employment opportunities includinginternships, summer employment and private sector employment.Coordinates support services including transportation, childcare, workclothing, books, uniforms, etc. Liaison to educational facilities,community-based organizations and employers to facilitate WIOA servicesand development of additional resources. Provide 12 months of follow upservices in phase two of the program to ensure education and oremployment retention. Maintains State database (Moses) accurately andtimely recording client services and progress. Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS Bachelor\'s degree in humanservice-related field as a minimum. Minimum of 2 years prior experienceworking with ?at risk youth?. Ability to work with diverse population.Career counseling, vocational counseling and Workforce Developmentexperience preferred. Ability to use language that has the greatestpositive impact on young people. Outstanding verbal, writtencommunication, and organizational skills; strong computer skillsrequired. Ability to travel throughout the region for business purposes.Ability to maintain records accurately and in a timely manner.Proficiency in database management.
