Primary Patient Population:

Post-surgical patients from approximately 14 different service lines

Bariatric recovery

Gender Affirming procedural recovery

Acute Medical

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Monitoring and recording patient vital signs

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)

Performing duties as instructed by RN

Personnel RN will work with :

LPNs, Registered Nurses, Nurse Interns, Providers, Social Workers, PT/OT, Speech Therapy, DieticiansNumber of beds on unit:

34 bed spaces (14 private rooms, 10 semi-private rooms)Awards or Recognitions the unit has received:

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.

Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills.

Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (NOTE: Maintaining ODH Registry status as a STNA is optional after employment in this position).

1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital.
