Job Description

　　A client of Insight Global is hiring an Oracle DBA Manager to join their team based in North Carolina. This position serves as the database infrastructure lead and will be responsible for the design, implementation, security, and administration of the Oracle enterprise databases run in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical and strategic leadership with the goal of delivering high performance/high availability databases that meet enterprise computing needs. This position is based in North Carolina and is eligible for telework. The ideal candidate will be comfortable coming in office on a quarterly basis. Outline of responsibilities below:

　　* Requires technical skills of an Oracle database and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure principal to lead the planning, implementation and maintenance of enterprise services.

　　* Serves as the architect in providing highly available Oracle database and Oracle applications for enterprise applications, including disaster recovery planning.

　　* Serves as the architect in providing database monitoring and performance tuning required for business continuity of the University's digital assets.

　　* Plan and organize workload for staff of Data Infrastructure group to meet the divisional and unit priorities.

　　* Manage the day to day operations of the Data Infrastructure group encompassing the requirements for project work to meet business goals, break/fix work to meet service level and server/storage administration required to maintain functioning of well-tuned systems.

　　* Create an environment with open communication among staff, divisional co-workers and clients.

　　* Develop or ensure the development of, and give final approval to rules, standards, guidelines and policies governing quality and quantity of work.

　　* Manage on-call rotation of support staff to maintain operational levels of systems.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　* 10+ years of experience managing Oracle Database systems

　　* 3+ years of experience leading and managing engineers

　　* Experience utilizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services to deliver database services

　　* Strong business acumen

　　* Strong working knowledge of current and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, database services, and data architecture

　　* Ability to develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency and scaling operations * Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

　　* Experience working with Ellucian Banner ERP

　　* In depth experience with service solution design, documentation, and implementation null
