Clean Harbors – Huntsville, AL is looking for a Hazardous Materials Chemist to join their safety conscious team working in the aerospace industry! This person would be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with collecting, segregating, packing, and prepare for shipment of hazardous waste in accordance with our company policies and procedures at our client location in Huntsville, AL.

　　Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

　　Prepares computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications;

　　Performs inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance;

　　Inspects storage area for leaks or spills;

　　Inspects drums for compliance with labeling regulations;

　　Collects, segregates, and properly packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;

　　Samples and profiles of new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing;

　　Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift 50 pounds;

　　Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.

　　High School Diploma or Equivalent required;

　　Bachelors degree in a science related field preferred;

　　Hazardous waste experience a plus;

　　Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record.

　　Must be able to clear both Clean Harbors and client specific background check
