Roles & Responsibilities:
Creating 2D and 3D CAD manufacturing and assembly drawings.
Creation and maintenance of bills of material (BOM) and parts.
Develop detailed drawings from engineering sketches per accepted drawings standards to ensure designs are standardized and recognizable with the company and also to supplier and customers.
Work with engineering to bring designs from conceptual phase to production.
Develop instructions for product installation and commissioning for field services.
Occasional shop floor interaction when required.
Occasional interaction with customers and suppliers when required.
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Associate degree in Drafting and Design with 5 years’ experience
Familiar with sheet metal process for designing control cabinets
Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Unigraphics, Solidworks or similar solid modeling design software
Familiar with MRP systems like PLM and SAP.
Knowledge of machining practices for sheet metal.
Knowledge of GD&T
Able to work within a schedule with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PM
Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
