Job Overview
The Associate Clinical Manager (Nurse Supervisor) is responsible formanaging a unit/department by implementing and maintaining specificpolicies, procedures, and guidelines; leading team members in providingdirect patient care by demonstrating expert clinical knowledge; ensuringcompliance with quality and safety initiatives and practices; and partneringwith a multidisciplinary team in meeting the clinical needs of patients andfamilies The Associate Clinical Manager also provides leadership andmanagement to unit/department team members. Finally, the AssociateClinical Manager serves as a charge nurse by preparing schedules and assigningteam members to patients; overseeing the admission, discharge, andgeneral flow of patients; and monitoring and ordering medicines and supplies.The Level 9 Inpatient Medical Unit is a dynamic 48 -bed unit serving Pulmonarypatient populations from birth to early adulthood. We are affiliated with theBreathing Institute and our clinical specialties include in chronicventilation, tracheostomy, asthma, cystic fibrosis, bronchopulmonarydysplasia, pulmonary hypertension and airway management... just to name afew. You will find our team to be a passionate and intelligentinterdisciplinary team of nurses, clinical assistants, inpatient servicespecialists, and providers; caring for medically complex and acutely illpatients in a fast-paced environment. Department: Level Nine-Medical (Pulmonary Medicine)Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefitsShift: Exempt position, 40 hours per week; Expectation to have a primarypresence on the nightshift for administrative work, to work at least fiveclinical/charge nurse shifts per month on nightshift, and to work at leastone weekend shift per month.Eligible Incentives:
Up to $4,400 in relocation benefits (100 mi. or greater) forqualifying positions
Qualifications
EDUCATION - Bachelo 's degree in Nursing. Master's degree in Nursing or adirectly related health care field is preferred.EXPERIENCE - Three years of clinical experience.LICENSURE - Registered Nurse (RN)CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with atleast 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire. ANCC recognizedcertification in clinical specialty. Depending on the unit/department,employees may also be required to have a Pediatric Advanced Life Support(PALS), Adult Advanced Life Support (ACLS), and/or EmergencyNursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
