　　As a member of the Videojet’s R&D Engineering function, the successful candidate will be responsible for generating, designing, validating, and implementing Value Analysis Value Engineering (VAVE) solutions for reliability and cost value improvements.

　　THIS JOB IS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO:

　　Someone who has solid hands-on problem-solving skills, especially experience with industrial coding equipment. Someone who is passionate about driving cross-functional project teams to deliver results on time and meet cost targets.

　　WITHIN YOUR ROLE, YOU WILL:

　　Provide new ideas and technical solutions for cost-improvement and reliability projects.

　　Design/Evaluate cost-effective product changes to solve obsolescence, quality and/or safety issues on existing line of products.

　　Develop Test Plans to validate design changes and solutions and verify designs using lab testing, analysis, and simulation tools.

　　Manage projects and work with cross-functional teams to create project timelines, deliverables, and track status.

　　Act as a technical leader and interact with regulatory, manufacturing, procurement, tech support, quality, product management, and outside suppliers to ensure timely and effective delivery of solutions into production following and utilizing VTI ECO process and tools.

　　WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROFESSIONAL WHO IS:

　　The ideal candidate will have demonstrated thorough knowledge and experience with the following:

　　Small-to-medium electromechanical industrial equipment. Equipment with such components as gear pumps, diaphragm pumps, cooling fans, and solenoid valves is highly desired.

　　Mechanical machine design using plastics and metals. Experience in injection molded plastic parts and sheet metal fabrication is a plus.

　　3D/2D design using SolidWorks or similar tools.

　　Experience with processes such as product change control, Root Cause Analysis, NPD, SOPs.

　　Ability to manage multiple projects in a team-based environment. Demonstrated skills with project management tools and methodologies, product development lifecycle, and problem-solving.

　　Experience with Daily Management and Visual Management is a plus.

　　YOUR EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE WILL INCLUDE:

　　Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. A master’s degree is a plus.

　　2-5 years of engineering experience in product development or product maintenance of line.

　　2-5 years working with industrial coding equipment or similar line of products.
