DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs the intern in this role, you will collaborate closely with the regional water quality specialist team to gain hands-on experience and expertise in monitoring and ensuring compliance of treatment facilities. You will also provide support to operations staff in regulatory and field work, following Department of Environmental Protection and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) protocols.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/2024 through 8/30/2024.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.Telework: Interns will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time on a schedule that aligns with their supervisor, so they are in the office on the same days. No full time telework will be approved. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you must report to the office.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors:Environmental StudiesEarth and Environmental ScienceEnvironmental Resource ManagementAn approved major course of study at an accredited college or universityGood academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Freshman year completed.Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
