The role oversees thedevelopment and delivery of engineering solutions from concept toexecution and commissioning. KEY ACCOUTABILITIES: General: * Lead alocal team of process engineering resources to support ISCO E&T\'sregional project execution requirements in the United States as well asevaluating, designing, and configuring chemical processes and controlsystems for local plant manufacturing. Plant Process Engineering: *Work with Production, Maintenance, Project Engineering, ProcessDevelopment, QC, and QA to ensure existing manufacturing processesremain in control. * Support the design of new and improve existingsystems to meet customer expectations and help deliver businessobjectives. * Support automation and digitalization efforts in theincreased use of DCS and other control systems for improved processcontrol, operator efficiency, risk reduction, safety and environmentalimprovement. * Provide operational support ranging from advice andmentoring to hands-on support if and when appropriate. * Providetroubleshooting and problem solving when production issues arise.Project Delivery: * Oversee processes, standards and quality, externalservice providers and contractors in execution of process engineering tostay in budget and time. Coordinate tender assessment, vendor selection,consultant partner development, design management (Concept / Basic /Detailed) * Ensure safe and complaint project execution andintegrations of sustainability measures into investment initiatives byfollowing corporate and departmental safety practices and policies. *Act as local/regional point of contact for escalations from internal orexternal stakeholders * Act as the local representative of GlobalProcess Engieering and be an active part of the global technologynetwork Capex Approvals: * Provide discipline specific technical inputand adequacy assessment of investment proposals for Regional CapexApproval processes and endorse / reject Capex approval submissions asrequired for region. Large Capex Approval: * Provide technical peerreview and technical statements for projects outside of own area ofdirect responsibility as required. Standards and Processes: * Ensurescompliance with regulatory requirements, good engineering practices andquality standards. * Work with other disciplines and functions, GlobalProcess Engineering and PMO to develop and refine project executionprocesses and procedures, regional and global engineering standards *Ensure enablement and rigorous application of Capex playbook, FELprocess, and compliance with all applicable project execution processesand procedures Knowledge Management: * Excellence in ProcessEngineering constitutes a competitive advantage for Merck LS.
