Job Summary:
Quest Global has established a programme of work with a customer supporting the development of their facilities management, and implementation of a large and complex site development over the next two decades. Quest Global was selected for this support specifically to bring our experience of using Systems Engineering principles to solve complex problems, such as the issues facing the programme.
Currently the scope of work includes the relocation of a building and its site critical services, developing a strategy for Manual Handling activities, to dovetail with the expected end-of-service of existing site cranes, and the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) as a core aspect of site operations, looking to extract additional value that BIM offers. This is just the initial scope of work, and Quest is invited to identify additional workstreams where we believe we can add value, within the Facilities Management team, but also wider across the customers site portfolio (Land and Sea domains).
We have built a team of subject matter experts (SME) for building services, mechanical handling, and BIM. Delivery is being managed by our Systems Engineering Capability Manager and we are looking for an individual who relishes the opportunity to deploy Systems Engineering into a new opportunity, working with, and managing the SMEs to deliver a world class service and become a trusted partner to our customer. The Engineering Manager will be supported by our Capability Manager and Customer Programme manager.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the development and delivery of the scope of work
• Maintain project documentation (Engineering Management Plans, Risk Registers etc.)
• Run weekly reviews with Project Stakeholders
• Support delivery teams in activities
• Developing and maintain customer relationship
• Identify and build opportunities for scope growth
• Manage and develop the Facilities Management team
• Acts as the focal point and face of the Quest Global with the client.
Software Skills:
Microsoft Office tools
Knowledge on Project management tools like MS Projects / Primavera would be added advantage
Domain Knowledge:
Systems Engineering (Major)
Good understanding of Project life cycle from concept, commissioning to operations and maintenance.
Technical knowledge and understanding of various engineering disciplines and interfaces
Project Management Principles (Major)
Project and Resource Management
Generation of engineering estimates as part of bids
Good Project management experience to drive Cost and schedule adherence and ensure Quality and Performance
Engineering Consultancy (Major)
Engineering governance, metrics and reporting experience
Client Management
Team Management
Facilities Management (Minor)
Experience in design and construction phases especially in dock environment will be an added advantage
Desired Skills:
Good Communication skills - Makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens effectively; clarifies information as needed.
Ability to handle discussions / communications independently
Works in a Collaborative environment
Ability to develop strong customer relationships, act as a Quest Global ambassador and identify opportunities.
