Purpose of Position:
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is equidistant from deliverable and customer. S/he will be front facing the client(s), representing GVR in all matters, products and commitments to that account. The incumbent will be responsible for building & maintaining the account relationship, mapping the key influencers and decision makers, and creating a growth strategy with the account(s), identifying, tracking, bidding/quoting all opportunities from the GVR India product basket. The KAM is additionally responsible for coordinating and liaising with various verticals from sales, product solution/R&D, projects, planning, finance and services internal to GVR and internally leading sign-off efforts from commercial/legal standpoints, identifying risks during execution, and leading handoff effort to the appropriate GVR department (manufacturing, service and projects) after award of tender/contract. Internal to GVR, the KAM will represent the customer and will be treated as the face of the strategic account and their needs/urgency to delivery to the strategic account will be treated accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Represent GVR relationship and product set to the strategic account.
• Know and build an influential relationship with the key influencers and decision makers to the strategic account.
• Track, bid/quote, and win tenders/contracts with the strategic account.
• Coordinate internal GVR on-time delivery of products and customer commitments to the strategic account.
• Visually forecast sales and escalate opportunities to R&D through funnel management, prioritized product planning and Key Account Management workbook for capturing account needs and matching those needs to products/service
Education & Experience : The ideal candidate will have
Total Experience in years: 5 - 7 years
Graduation/ Degree: Engineering or equivalent technical understanding/competence
Other preferred courses/ certifications: Must have prior experience in managing strategic accounts and
preferable experience in dealing with the Indian government and regulatory environments.
Background and Skills : The ideal candidate will have over a decade in sales experience with some experience managing a strategic/national account that was critical to win for success in their prior industry. Some marketing and engineering competence is also required for success in dealing with GVR India customers.
Domain (Preferred Industry) – Infrastructure development, fueling, refining, petroleum downstream, energy distribution, automobile or other manufacturing sales.
