Job Summary The Maintenance Mechanic Iis responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance onmachinery, equipment, and tools, and assists other members of theMaintenance Department in various machine/building repairs. PrincipalDuties and Responsibilities Performs regular, preventative maintenanceon all machinery, equipment, tools, and building Assists in the repairof woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, andforklifts in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, andmanufacturer specifications Orders supplies and parts as requiredPerforms preventive maintenance as scheduled Maintains records of repairand maintenance activities Performs duties consistent with establishedsafety rules and procedures Maintains a clean and organized work areaParticipates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings If assignedto Treating Department, performs duties consistent with hazardous wasteand hazardous material handling procedures and practices Preparesvarious reports as required Performs other duties as requiredQualifications High school diploma Minimum 1 year of experience inmachine repair in maintenance Working knowledge of electrical,hydraulic, and control technology, and welding Working knowledge of safeequipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulationsDemonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous materialhandling procedures and practices Must be at least 18 years of age TheCompany is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
