Pharmacy Technician/ Research Assistant

Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; and compounding intravenous medications. The pharmacy technician will also provide technical direction and assistance with clinical trial protocols in various research activities such as:

　　Receiving, shipping, and inventorying investigational drug productsManaging the clinical investigational drug inventoryPreparing dosing schedules and/or kits and distribute the drugs for use at either the inpatient unit or outpatient research program.Reading and understanding drug-orders Assisting in drug productionEntering drug participant information into the departmental computer database and/or onto forms in the research binderWorking with study coordinators, primary investigators, and other hospital staff on a regular basis.Communicating with all research peersAttending protocol meetings as neededOther duties include but are not limited to weighing materials, taking inventory, assisting with production, working with researchers to prepare schedules, maintaining a clear and clean work area, transporting materials as indicated, and proper storage of these medications.

　　Schedule:This position will work full-time 40 hours per week on a varying schedule.

　　Pay: $21-$23 per hour based on work experience About the Facility: The New York State Psychiatric Institute offers a wide range of clinical services, for individuals with schizophrenia, depression, eating disorders, substance abuse, anxiety disorders, and other conditions. Most treatment occurs in the context of research studies. Inpatient care is provided in two research units and one clinical unit . CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC. About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Required Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma or GED required.

　　Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

　　1+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.

　　NY Licensure is required.

　　Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office Suite

　　Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns.

　　Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting.

　　Effective communication skills; verbal and written.
