We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Logistics/Freight Coordinator. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the transportation and shipment of goods, ensuring seamless communication with customers, freight brokers, and efficient coordination of logistics processes. Responsibilities
Regularly interact with customers to understand their shipping needs and provide updates on the status of their shipments.
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests related to logistics and freight.
Utilize online platforms or website portals for tracking and managing shipments.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date information on the portals.
Collaborate with freight brokers to secure transportation services and negotiate rates.
Coordinate with brokers to optimize the transportation process and meet customer requirements.
Handle paperwork and documentation associated with shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Maintain organized records of shipments, invoices, and other relevant documents.
Coordinate both Less Than Truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload (FTL) shipments based on the nature and size of the cargo.
Oversee the receipt and processing of inbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
Collaborate with internal teams to manage inventory and distribution.
Develop and maintain shipment schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
Optimize routes and transportation methods to minimize costs and enhance efficiency.
Implement inventory control measures to track and reconcile stock discrepancies.
