Prestigious AM law firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Practice Assistant to join our dynamic team. This Practice Assistant will provide essential administrative and legal support to attorneys, with a focus on complex litigation.
You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, contributing to the success of our team and delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
Calendar and Travel Management:
Maintain attorneys' calendars, scheduling meetings, appointments, and deadlines.
Arrange travel logistics, including booking flights, hotels, and ground transportation.
Coordinate with clients and opposing counsel on scheduling matters.
Document Preparation and Drafting:
Draft and format legal documents, such as letters, memoranda, pleadings, and discovery requests, following attorney instructions and firm style guides.
Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity.
Manage electronic and physical filing systems.
Client Communication and Service:
Professionally interact with clients via phone, email, and in person.
Respond to client inquiries promptly and efficiently.
Prepare client intake forms and gather necessary information.
Assist with client onboarding and document collection.
Research and Analysis:
Conduct legal research as assigned by attorneys.
Summarize and analyze legal materials.
Prepare factual and legal memoranda.
General Administrative Tasks:
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Respond to phone calls and emails professionally and courteously.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Utilize legal and office software proficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with legal terminology and research databases preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new things.
